More info
The SDU 420 is the independent safety shutdown unit that the classification societies require next to the engine controller: it stops the engine on overspeed or a critical fault even if the main panel fails. With 12 shutdown channels it is made for larger engines, on mechanical as well as electronic engines.
- Wire-break and short-circuit monitoring on the inputs, rpm channel with loop monitoring and an overspeed test mode
- Gear and rpm interlocks on every channel and secondary shutdown override for oil-mist detection
- LEDs for fault and status on the unit; configured automatically from the connected Marine Pro 200 or 400 DCU such as the DCU 410E
- DIN-rail unit for cabinet mounting, 18–32 VDC
