The SDU 410 is an independent engine safety shutdown module that meets classification society rules up to and including UMS notations. It has eight switch channels for normally open switches and two speed sensor inputs, all with wire-break detection, plus short-circuit detection and protection, and a warning LED for each channel.
The SDU 410 is a legacy unit; the current safety shutdown units are the Auto-Maskin SDU 404 Safety Shutdown Unit (4 channels) and Auto-Maskin SDU 420 Safety Shutdown Unit (12 channels).
